All products sold by Homecoze are covered by guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, ensuring your rights and remedies are protected. In addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we offer a 12-month warranty on products sold by Homecoze that are found to be faulty or damaged.
We are committed to providing high-quality products and ensuring your utmost satisfaction with your purchase. To uphold our commitment and comply with the Australian Consumer Law, we have implemented the following Warranty Policy.
Coverage and Duration
Our warranty covers all products sold through the Homecoze website and extends to the original purchaser. Most products come with a 12 month product warranty, however the duration of the warranty period varies depending on the product type and is specified in each product listing.
What is Covered
- Manufacturing defects
- Faulty products
- Quality control issues
What is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear
- Change of mind or incorrectly ordered items
- Damage caused by improper handling or personal transportation of the product
- Damage caused by negligent unpacking of the product
- Damage caused by not following proper assembly or installation guidelines
- Damage caused by abnormal use, misuse or abuse
- Damage caused by product modification or operating an item outside of it’s intended use
- Damage caused by improper care or maintenance of the product
- The commercial use of non-commercial equipment (unless stated by the manufacturer)
- The unsupervised use of products requiring supervision
- Insignificant minor variations to product dimensions, colour, grain or finish
- Insignificant minor imperfections or superficial blemishes
In the event of damage/s or fault found to be caused due to customer negligence, we will not cover the shipping cost for inspection, repair or replacement of the product.
Warranty Claims
Where a product is found to be faulty or damaged within the warranty period, customers are eligible to make a warranty claim. To initiate a claim, please contact us with your order details, a clear description of the fault, and some photos of the issue. Our team will guide you through the process and provide instructions for the next steps.
Faulty or Damaged Products
If a product is deemed to be faulty or damaged due to manufacturing defects or material issues, we will repair, replace, provide full or partial store credit or refund for the faulty product, as per the Australian Consumer Law. In some cases, we may request the return of the faulty product for inspection. We will provide you with detailed instructions on the return process and cover any associated costs, where applicable.
Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
Our Warranty Policy is in addition to your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory guarantees, warranties, or consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
